EduDance

All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be participating in an Edu-Dance incursion during Weeks 1–9 of Term 4 2025 – 30 minute session per week.

This engaging program provides students with the opportunity to enjoy structured dance lessons while developing skills aligned with the Dance strand of the Western Australian Curriculum. Through EduDance, students will explore movement, rhythm, and expression in a fun and supportive environment.

The cost of the program is $50 per student, which covers all lessons and the end-of-term performance.

The program will conclude with an Edu-Dance Concert in Week 9, where classes will showcase their dances for families. Further details, including performance times, will be provided closer to the event.

We look forward to another exciting and energetic term of dance for our students!

NORTH COTT’S GOT TALENT

We are excited to announce that North Cottesloe Primary will be hosting our annual North Cott’s Got Talent Show in Term 4, 2025. The performances will take place on Thursday, 6th November. We will confirm the exact timing closer to the event.

We know that North Cott is full of talented students, and this event is a wonderful opportunity for them to share and celebrate their creative performances. This year, we are running the show as a competition and will be awarding places to the top-scoring performances.

Students may perform an act in any of the following categories, with no act being longer than 2.5 minutes:

  • Music (vocal or instrumental)
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Other – Magic, Comedy Skit, Gymnastics, Circus Skills etc.

Auditions for the talent show will take place on Tuesday, 21st October 2025 (second week of Term 4). If you would like your child to audition, please complete the registration form here.

Registrations for auditions will close on Friday, 19th September 2025.

Once the registration window has closed, an audition schedule will be sent out to families. Auditions will be reviewed by the talent show committee, and students will be considered on preparedness, quality, and stage presence.

Important information for families:

  1. The talent show is open to all students in Years 1–6.
  2. Performances must be no longer than 2.5 minutes in length.
  3. As this is a school event, all acts must remain child-friendly. Song lyrics and recorded music must be appropriate.
  4. Students presenting a drama act or comedy skit will need to bring a printed copy of their script for the adjudicators on audition day.
  5. Students requiring a backing track must bring their accompaniment saved as an MP3 on a USB stick to their audition. USB sticks will remain with the talent show committee for selected performers and returned after the showcase.
  6. Students may perform in 1 individual and 1 group act only (ie a maximum of two acts).

Thank you for helping us continue this enjoyable North Cottesloe tradition.

We cannot wait to see your amazing performances!

How You Can Help

To make this event a success, students are asked to seek sponsorship between now and the Colour Run. Sponsorships can be:

  • A set amount per lap, or a flat donation for participating (regardless of laps completed).

We encourage families to support children in reaching out to relatives, friends, workplaces, and community groups for sponsorship.

  • This year, the class that raises the most money will enjoy a group prize.
  • Students will soon be able to purchase fun Colour Run packs with accessories via Trybooking (think sunglasses, whistles and more!).
  • There will also be a raffle for a Foam Party, valued at $695 and kindly donated by Foam Frenzy. Parents will be able to purchase raffle tickets via Trybooking, with further information to be released soon.

Important Information

  • Start collecting sponsorships now! (See attached)
  • All sponsorship forms and donations must be submitted to the school’s account by Monday, 27 October 2025. Please include your child’s name and “COLOUR” in your EFT payment reference.
