This schedule provides you with information about anticipated costs that may arise throughout the 2026 school year, as well as information relating to voluntary payments that are sought by the school and the P&C. It also outlines payments enhance your child’s primary education experience and the teaching and learning opportunities available to them at North Cottesloe Primary School.
We encourage you to read this schedule carefully. Student statements in support of these costs will be sent home in February 2026. Our intention is to have all payments streamlined through compass moving forward.
To enable the school to better support the learning environment in each classroom, and to enrich the opportunities available to your child as part of their primary education, the school seeks a voluntary contribution per child (School Fees). This contribution is paid into the school account and is subject to government regulation and audit; the School Fee amount is also set by government regulation and is applied consistently across all government primary schools in Western Australia.
Contributions collected from parents are used by classroom teachers to provide materials and resources directly consumed by your children in the classroom (for example the provision of books for English and support for Mathematics). All contributions will be used (and under government regulation, must be used) to supplement government funding in the curriculum learning areas.
When each family makes their contribution, we are best able to maximise the quality of our teaching and learning program. North Cottesloe Primary School has traditionally only collected around 60% of these contributions, which limits our ability to fund basic support for English, Maths and other core subjects, and increases our reliance on P&C funding to supplement any shortfall. This collection rate falls well short of the government estimates for recovery rates, and well short of our comparable schools in the Western Suburbs. It is vital the school receives your family’s contribution at the start of the school year so that we can ensure a quality teaching and learning experience for your children in 2026. It is expected that this year’s money is spent on this year’s students.
The table below gives you the breakdown of where we will direct your voluntary contributions.

Throughout the school year, your children may engage in a variety of activities associated with educational programs, which may incur separate charges. Below is a detailed breakdown of estimated charges for your child’s participation in these activities for 2026. All charges must be paid prior to the planned activity. Should you have any difficulties in making payments, please contact the school to make alternative arrangements. All payments and permissions will continue to be managed via the Compass platform.
